Paralegal Samantha C. Larimer
Ms. Larimer began her career working with a San Diego law firm in the areas of Chapters 11 and 13 reorganization and Chapter 7 bankruptcy, representing both debtors and creditors. She also assisted attorneys that represented many Southern District of California Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustees.
Ms. Larimer then took a hiatus from the legal field to serve as officer, shareholder and business manager of a fast-growing corporation specializing in swimming pool construction and repairs. Upon returning to the legal profession when she joined our firm, she found this corporate experience had prepared her with an acute understanding of our commercial clients' needs, and sometimes setbacks, in this very competitive market.
An active member of the bankruptcy law community, she has held several positions on the board of the International Women's Insolvency Network, including publicity committee chair and treasurer. She was also a member of the Association of Bankruptcy Judicial Assistants, holding a seat on its planning committee. In the late '90s, Ms. Larimer served with a team of legal professionals on an online filing flagship program in the federal court system, contributing to the online filing procedures we all know and use today. In 2003, Ms. Larimer was invited to the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees Annual Conference in Washington, D.C., where she presented the procedures of using the “new” online federal filing system to a class of more than 40 trustee assistants and legal professionals.
While not working tirelessly for our clients, Ms. Larimer enjoys doing volunteer work for U.S. veterans, along with hiking, spending time with family and friends, and traveling.
